#FilamentFriday: The Wiffle Ball Test

#3DThursday: Going Camping Reading #FilamentFriday: The Wiffle Ball Test 1 minute Next August in Review: New Ideas, Same Company

It's Friday! Which means it's time to update you all on our latest tests and experiments with filament. This week we've been printing with NatureWorks Ingeo Biopolymer 3D850 and NatureWorks Ingeo Biopolymer 3D870 PLA.

We printed wiffle balls to test the impact and durability of each. It took two hits to explode the 3D50 and eight hits to explode the 3D70. Not entirely hard science, but certainly fun.

According to the NatureWorks press release on the new PLA filament it offers heat and impact resistance that rivals ABS printing and processes. While we're still doing our own tests and experiments with the new NatureWorks PLA we were glad to have some fun out in the sun here in Vermont.

Have you used the new NatureWorks Ingeo Biopolymers? You can purchase some here from our Filabot store! What have your experiences been like? Sound off in the comments!

Best,
The Filabot Team
