Creating, recycling and developing your own filament has never been easier. Used by makers from around the world, at MIT and by NASA, the Filabot is a revolutionary solution for the 3D printing industry.
The Filabot uses a pressurized heating process to melt plastics like into a fine diameter filament ready for spooling. Add waste plastics into the hopper -failed prints, pellets, ground up bits- and when the machine is heated and ready, begin extruding the filament with the speed and diameter controls located on the top of the machine.
The Filabot Spooler makes it easy to spool and store your newly made filament. Synchronize the Spooler with your Filabot, attach the newly extruded filament and you're good to go. Our Spooler system works in conjunction with the Filabot and helps maintain, organize and keep track of your custom, recycled filaments.
